Payment Details

The successful bidder(s) will be contacted by the Town of New Milford. The successful bidder will be required to make payment by certified check or money order only (no credit cards, personal or business checks will be accepted) within ten (10) working days of notification date of the award unless other arrangements are approved by the Purchasing Office prior to that deadline. All checks must be payable to the “Town of New Milford”. Payment must be made in full with the Purchasing Office prior to the removal of items. Appointments are required for payment and item pickup.

Item Description

This truck was a front line plow truck then was removed from the front line and used as a tanker truck to spread water for sweeping and calcium for gravel roads in the summer and to pretreat roads with salt brine in the winter. The liquid has taken its toll on the truck and it has alot of rust and corrosion. (see pics below). Engine still runs and tranny is still good. Truck comes with a plow and drop in sander. This truck is offered as is, no warranties either expressed or implied. 
This vehicle has a Certificate of Origin, not a Transferable Title.

This vehicle is offered “AS IS” with all faults, and “WHERE IS”, no guarantees or warranties either expressed or implied.  Auction winner must pick up/tow the vehicle from the Town of New Milford facility in New Milford, Connecticut.

Questions will need to be submitted through municidbid.com or OpenGov Procurement, https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/newmilford, on or before, Monday, April 21, 2005 by 8:00 am.  Question will be answered by 5:00 pm on April 24, 2025.

Seller's Terms & Conditions

All vehicles and equipment are sold “AS IS” with all faults, and “WHERE IS”. The Town of New Milford, its officers, employees and agents and (hereafter, the “Town”) make no representations, guarantees or warranties of any kind relating to kind, character, description, condition, merchantability, suitability for a particular use, or in any other respect whatsoever. Each bidder agrees to use reasonable care during the inspection period and at the time of removal of any items and further agrees to be responsible for injuries, damages, or losses of any kind caused by himself, his employees, agents, servants, contractors or sub-contractors. The purchaser is to assume all liability for items after award is made. The Town of New Milford will exercise usual care for the protection up to the time limit for removal, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage from any cause whatsoever. The purchaser is to assume all liability for any damage to the base building or permanent fixtures during the removal of the items. The cost and repair of any such damage shall be assessed by the Town and borne exclusively by the purchaser. All items purchased must be removed within ten (10) working days of the notification date of the award. All questions related to this bid shall be submitted on or before, Monday, May 18, 2026 by 8 am.
