Once bidding has closed, the Town will notify the successful bidder via email and provide an invoice. The successful bidder is responsible for contacting the Vehicle Maintenance Department at (508-660-7333) to schedule a designated date and time for item pickup. Items will not be released without a confirmed appointment. At the time of pickup, the successful bidder must present valid identification and submit payment in full in the form of a check made payable to the “Town of Walpole.” Payment must be made at the Purchasing Department in Walpole, MA. A bill of sale and the item will be released only after payment has been received and processed. The Town of Walpole will not provide assistance with loading or transporting items. The successful bidder is solely responsible for removal and should arrive prepared with any necessary equipment (e.g., hand trucks, straps, chains, etc.). The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids at its discretion. All sales are final. Items are sold as-is, with no warranties, refunds, or exchanges. The successful bidder assumes full responsibility for the condition of the item at the time of sale. Bidders are solely responsible for conducting all due diligence prior to submitting a bid. By submitting a bid, the bidder acknowledges that they have either inspected the item or voluntarily waived their right to do so, and accepts the item in its current condition, including but not limited to mileage, trim level, and any visible and/or mechanical defects. Submission of a bid constitutes a binding agreement to purchase the item if awarded. The successful bidder shall complete the transaction regardless of any defects or conditions discovered before or after the close of bidding. The Town of Walpole reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All sales are final.
