In 2021, some components of the vehicle were refurbished by Keystone Fire Apparatus in McKees Rocks, PA. These upgrades included, but were not limited to, the following:


Rebuilding all outrigger cylinders with new seals, rings, chrome rods, and holding valves.

Rebuilding upper and lower boom cylinders with new seals, rings, chrome rods and holding valves.

Replacing all hydraulic hoses related to the boom and outrigger operation.

Changed hydraulic oils and filters.

Repacked fire pump and performed an independent test to obtain certification.

Tested all ground ladders.

Repaired rusted areas on vehicle and repainted.

Installed Jacob braking system.

Installed man saver bars on rear jumpseats.

Checked all gauges and repaired as needed.

Installed new lettering.

Repaired lighting.

Updated emergency lighting.


An original and complete copy of the of the contact packet will be provided with the vehicle at sale.


On July 8, 2023, an inspection and testing of aerial fire apparatus and emergency vehicles was performed by Industrial Inspections and Analysis in accordance with MFPA 1911 and the vehicle did meet certification requirements - Project Number 212, Work Order Number 173122. A copy of the report will be provided to the successful bidder.


This unit is currently located and can be viewed at the Moon Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Boggs Run Station. The unit was recently operated and pictures taken. To make arrangements to see the vehicle, please contact Fire Chief John Scott @ 412-292-1114. Monday -Thursday, 8 am- 4 pm

Seller’s Terms & Conditions

Vehicle will be sold "as is" and "where is", with no implied warranties. It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove the apparatus from the Township of Moon with in 10 business of the award. Payment in full must be in certified funds (US Dollars), cash or certified check made payable to the Township of Moon, before the vehicle is removed from the Township. The successful bidder is responsible for all costs associated with the transfer of vehicle title before the vehicle is removed from Township property. A Notary will be selected by Moon Township. The Township of Moon reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any minor informalities associated with the bidding process.
