Item Description
2016 Gasoline-Powered Ford Explorer Utility Police VehicleThe vehicle being auctioned is a black and white 2016 Gasoline-powered Ford Explorer Utility Police vehicle owned by the Town of Bridgewater Ma, Bridgewater Police Department. This vehicle was previously used by the department's patrol division. Although it is in fair condition, there are some minor scratches and marks on the paint. It starts and runs, but one catalytic converter needs to be replaced. The water pump has not been replaced to the best of my knowledge, but there have been no reported issues.
Recent replacements/services include:
- AC compressor
- Brakes (about 4,000 miles ago)
- Cooling fan (replaced a couple of years ago)
- Tune-up
- Alternator (replaced a couple of years ago)
- One catalytic converter
- Steering rack (replaced at 90,000 miles)
Additionally, the battery is only 2 years old, the vehicle has been regularly maintained and serviced, and oil changes have been done on a regular basis.
The vehicle features cloth front seats, with the driver's seat protected by a Tiger Tough seat cover. Please note that this vehicle does not have a backseat. It is being sold "AS IS" with no express or implied warranties. The Town of Bridgewater reserves the right to reject any bid for any reason at any time.
The successful bidder will be responsible for all costs associated with transfer, registration, licensing, taxes, and pickup of the vehicle. They must also sign the required Non-Collusion form, MGL C30B, provide a certified bank check for the total bid amount, and remove the vehicle within (7) days of the close of the auction.

Example:
If buyers fee is 8% for bids up to $99,999.99, 5% for bids $100,000 - $499,999.99, and 4% for bids over $500,000.
- Winning bid: $50,000: = Buyers fee: $4,000 (8% of $50,000).
- Winning bid: $150,000: = Buyers fee: $10,500 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + (5% of $50,000 = $2,500).
- Winning bid: $550,000: = Buyers fee: $30,000 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + 5% of $400,000 = $20,000) + (4% of $50,000 = $2,000).
Where can I see what the buyers fee is?
The current buyers fee will always be shown on the page of the listing under the current price in both the bid area and auction details area. You will also see the buyers fee amount you will pay for your entered bid on the page where you confirm your bid.
What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
