Seller's Terms & Conditions
Terms of Sale: The successful bidder must be able to finalize the purchase and remove the truck at his/her own expense within five business days from the date of the notice of award, excluding holidays. The time/day for removal of the vehicle must be coordinated with Town personnel during regular Town business hours. The successful bidder must be able to present valid identification to the Town as proof that he/she is the bidder of record, matching the name on the bid. The successful bidder must be present, at Rowley Town Hall, to sign the deed and bill of sale documents. Upon notification of award, the successful bidder must forward a certified check made payable to the Town of Rowley within five business days to the Office of the Board of Selectmen. The successful bidder must submit a Certificate of Non-Collusion to the Town with the certified check. The vehicle is being sold “as is” without express warranties and with no implied warranties. If the highest bidder fails to comply with the terms of this sale, then the bid will be rejected and a new auction will be conducted.

There is no information available on why the vehicle failed inspection in January 2025. It did pass inspection in January 2024.

The listing has been updated to include photos of the interior.
The engine issue is unknown. The van was driveable before it was decommissioned in January. The battery is currently drained, so unable to verify whether it will start.
We have some maintenance records. Recent repairs include master cylinder and front brake pad replacements in March 2024 and November 2023; A/C charge and camera repair in June 2023; backup camera repair, disc rotor, rear parking brake show & lining replacements, and bumper repair in January 2023. Front tires were replaced January 2023 and right rear tire was replaced in October 2022

The Board of Selectmen have already voted to dispose of this surplus supply and will not need to take an additional vote. The auction listing has been updated.
