Item Description

Herbie died last summer.

Herbie was the Village of Middleburgh's robotic pool cleaner, so our Clerk went on Amazon to order a new one. A few days later, this unopened Century Pool & Spa Motor arrived instead. Our purchase was refunded but neither Amazon nor the vendor wanted to reclaim this motor, which cannot be legally used in New York or California (we are in New York, of course). After a few months of trying to return it, we decided to declare it as surplus and sell it instead with the proceeds going to support our Village Pool.

Besides for the photograph, the box has remained unopened for the past seven months. It is a 2.60 Horsepower Motor.

Q:	"My condolences to the pool staff in the Village of Middleburgh. While I did not have the chance to meet Herbie, I too have a robotic pool cleaner. “Rover” has been a faithful part of my pool maintenance team for four years now. I can only imagine the loss you experienced when Herbie was no longer able to do what he was meant to do. We had a scare a year ago when I thought we lost him. It turned out to be a chip malfunction. What if the selling agency rejects my bid?

If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
