Item Description
Market Farm Implement
Cultivator and Plow Combo,is essential primary tillage tools designed to invert soil and bury plant residue, effectively breaking new ground or managing heavy residue. On the other hand, cultivators serve as secondary tillage tools that stir the topsoil, control weeds, and prepare precise seedbeds. Cultivators are used more frequently throughout the growing season for maintenance and soil refinement, working primarily on the soil surface.
Market Farm Plows
Plows penetrate deeply into the soil to completely invert and turn the soil layers. This action helps kill existing weeds by cutting off their light source and burying them deep underground.
- Moldboard Plow: Equipped with a curved, wing-shaped blade that lifts and fully flips the soil, making it ideal for breaking tough clay or sod.
- Chisel Plow: Features rigid shanks that penetrate deeply (up to 50 cm) to break hardpan layers without inverting the topsoil, preserving soil structure and reducing erosion.
- Disc Plow: Utilizes individually mounted concave steel discs to cut through rocky, dry, or shrubby terrain where moldboard plows have difficulty operating.
- Ridge Plow: Designed with double wings that raise soil into furrows, perfect for creating planting ridges for crops such as potatoes.
Market Farm Cultivators
Cultivators operate at shallow depths (usually 1–6 inches) to aerate the soil and eliminate weeds without disturbing deeper subsoil layers, preserving soil health.
- Field Cultivator: A heavy-duty implement with rows of S-tines or C-shanks, used mainly for pre-plant weed control and incorporating crop residues.
- Basket Weeder: Features metal cages that gently scuff the soil surface, killing emerging weeds without throwing soil into crop rows, ideal for delicate crops like lettuce.
- Finger Weeder: Equipped with rubber-coated fingers that work between and around crop stems to remove weeds directly in the row.
- Rolling Cultivator: Uses gangs of slicer tines that can be angled to either pull soil away from or push it toward the crop row (hilling) to bury weeds effectively.
