Description:
Available for auction is a complete, high-capacity Bogen Desktop Intercom & Program Control Center. This reliable system served as the primary communications hub for the Dr. John C. Page School in West Newbury, MA, and was recently retired from active service due to a building-wide phone system upgrade.
This is a "Working Pull" — it was fully functional for paging, intercom, and radio distribution at the time of decommissioning in March of 2026.
Item is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties expressed or implied.
System Components & Features:
- Bogen MCP35A Master Control Panel: The central "brain" for two-way classroom communication. Features color-coded push-button controls for easy and intuitive operation of both Intercom and PA functions.
- Bogen SPA-60 (BPA60) 60-Watt Booster Amplifier: A rugged, high-power amplifier designed to drive speakers across all 50 zones efficiently and clearly.
- 50-Station Selector Capacity: Equipped with two 25-key selector panels, allowing for individual classroom calls or school-wide "All-Call" paging with ease.
- Integrated AM/FM Tuner: Built-in radio functionality for distributing background music or educational programming to selected rooms throughout the school.
- Construction: Heavy-duty metal chassis from the late 1980’s to early 1990’s, engineered to withstand the demands of school environments. Great for use in a school or parts.
Dimensions & Weight:
- Length: Approximately 3+ feet long, suitable for desktop or mounted use.
- Weight: Approximately 40–50 lbs. While one strong person can lift it, we recommend two people for safe handling and transport.
Condition:
This system is in good condition, having been maintained in a clean office environment. All switches, volume controls, and the radio tuner were tested and confirmed fully operational prior to removal.
