Q:
"is the truck road worthy? does everything work like it should, truck ,dump body, plow and spreader?"
- Asked by #5807093 04/16/2026 11:51 AM
A:
Roadworthiness & drivability Blown rear end (differential/axle): Even though it starts and runs, a failed rear end means power cannot be reliably transmitted to the wheels. Attempting to drive it can lead to loss of propulsion, lock‑up, further drivetrain damage, or a safety incident. ➜ It should be moved by tow only until the axle/differential is repaired or replaced. Functional status by component Dump body: “assumed to operate,” but without a verified test that’s unknown. Plow assembly: Also “assumed to operate.” A static functional check should include: Spreader: A cut line and the auger is out. That makes the spreader inoperable as‑is.
