Item Description

For Auction: 1980 / 1981 Empire Genset Generator, Model 650DJW-8E, which features 65kw, 3 phase, 60 hertz, 195 amps, and 120-208 volts. Unit is currently wired for a high leg on "C" phase in a DELTA configuration. Unit can be re-tapped into multiple configurations for single and three phase, 120/240, 120/208, DELTA & WYE. Information on changing generator field taps can be found on Empire after market websites for free. Unit starts and runs fine, only known missing part is the primary fuel rail fitting that sits on top of injector #1, feeding fuel to the remaining injectors, and returning excess fuel to source. Unit has a Perkins T6.354, 6-cyclinder diesel engine with 123 hp +/-. The generator has a block heater and full metal enclosure, which features a large space for an internal fuel "day tank". The generator has been used for approximately 1222 hours. We purchased this unit as a pair in 2024 and no longer have a need for it as we have upgraded. We can assist with loading. New battery included.
