If a winning bid is approved at the Kimberton Fire Company Meeting on the evening of August 1, 2011 the winning bidder will be notified by e-mail on August 2, 2011. All items purchased must be paid in full at the time of pick-up (or prior). Payment will be accepted in the form of money order, certified or cashiers check, payable to Kimberton Fire Company - no cash sales are permitted. Payment will be made at the Kimberton Fire Station. A pre-arranged appointment will be required in order to arrange for pick-up of the item(s).

Item Description

This auction is for the Uniden Bearcat BC350A Scanner, as pictured below. This scanner was recently removed from service due to an upgrade. There is a known issue with this scanner - the internal speaker appears to not be functional - you will need to connect and external speaker or get the unit repaired if you wish to use the internal speaker.  We always used the scanner with an external speaker plugged into the 3.5 mm external jack in the back of the unit.  For whatever reason when we pulled this unit from service we could not get sound of the built in internal speaker, but yet if you plug an external speaker into it, sound comes from the external speaker without any issue.  This scanner is being sold as is, for parts or repair, or to be used as is with an external speaker.

Besides the internal speaker issue, elsewise the scanner works fine and the only other notable issue is cosmetic as there some scratches on the external case. These scratches are are visible in the photos below. The items that you see pictured below are the actual items that you are bidding on and will be receiving. Included is the Scanner, Mobile mounting bracket, 12V Cigarette power cord, Direct wire power cord, Telescopic Antenna, an AC Adapter. Complete specs for the scanner appear further down below.

Items are to be picked up from the Kimberton Fire Company at 61 Firehouse Lane, Phoenixville, PA 19460. We will also ship this $9.70, but payment would need to be made prior to shipment (we are set up to accept credit card payments). If the item is not picked up within 10 business days after the auction expiration date and time, the Kimberton Fire Company reserves the right to retain the items and re-list them for auction and block bidder from future auctions. If you will need additional time to pick up the items, please contact us prior to placing your bid and we work with you. A pre-arranged appointment will required in order to arrange for the pick-up of the item.
