1998 KME Fire Engine and attachments are sold "as-is" and "where-is". No warranties are expressed or implied. Purchaser is responsible for all transfer and transportation costs. Vehicle can be inspected by appointment. Please contact David Hicks at 610-233-6936 or dhicks@norristown.org.
Engine 27-1 served as a first out career engine for 14 years. It served as a back up engine for 11 years. Cummins Engine, Allison Transmission, 1500 GPM Hale Single Stage Pump, 750 gallon booster tank. Includes Ground Ladders, Booster Hose, Hard Sleeve and Deck Gun. Inverter powers (2) Scene Lights. Truck requires repairs to keep it in service in our department. Repairs listed at the end. Maintenance records are available and will be provided to the buyer at time of sale. Odometer broke at 29,187 miles and new odometer currently reads 7,645, which adds up to 36,832 miles.
Glick Fire Equipment last worked on the truck and reported the following needed repair:
- Engine air filter is dirty
- Exhaust tailpipe hanger is broken and tailpipe is leaking
- Tank to pump valve leaks internally and floods pump
- Coolant lines weeping
- Steering box leaking
- Front motor mounts dry rotted
- Tank fill valve leaks past internally
- Exhaust leaking at downpipe at clamp, under insulation
- TPM works properly but light stays on constantly
- Discharge 1 gauge loss of fluid
- 2 rear marker lights half out
- Windshield washers inoperative
- R-1 comp light out
- Officer air horn switch inoperative on floor
