"Vehicle appears idling in pic of instrument cluster. Alternator/battery gauge indicates no charge. Gauge bad or is gauge accurate??"
- Asked by #15624031 10/24/2020 11:36 AM
The truck was not running in the picture. The truck does run and charge.

"If vehicle is not idling, then why RPM, oil pressure and fuel gauge active as if engine is running?? Sorry for continuing same discussion mentioned above.. thanks"
- Asked by #15624031 10/26/2020 11:24 AM
The key may have been turned to the "on" position, without actually starting the vehicle, when the picture was taken. We just started the vehicle, and confirmed the voltage was working. The oil pressure came up, and the tachometer was working as the engine increased RPM. The tachometer did not go to zero when shut down. The needle stays around the location in the picture until started.

"what does the truck need for pa state inspection? do you think the truck would drive 200 miles?"
- Asked by #561408 10/29/2020 10:46 AM
The truck was inspected and in use until it was parked in 2019, which happened because it was replaced with a new truck at that time. We didn't update inspection because we took it out of service. We have started the truck periodically to keep the battery charged. As far as we are aware, the truck would pass inspection now, as it sits. We always kept up maintenance with the truck. As far as whether it would make it 200 miles, we have no reason to believe that it wouldn't, but that can't be 100% guaranteed. Nothing in this answer should be construed as a guarantee of performance, as it has not been used regularly in over a year; hence, selling it "as is".
