West Goshen Township is selling a 2010 Ford Escape XLT Hybrid. The vehicle was previously utilized as pool vehicle in the Township's Administration Department. This vehicle in very good condition with minor stains on cloth interior and minor scratches on front and rear bumper covers. There is some rust on the undercarriage and exhaust component, but this is normal due to the age of the vehicle. Tires all measure 8/32 and brakes measure front = 7/B, rear = 4/B rear drums. Inspection is dated 6/2022. There are no known major mechanical issues; however, the battery is nearing the end of its life. The Township does not intend to replace the battery prior to the sale. West Goshen Township will conduct in person inspections of the vehicle on May 18, 2022 and May 24, 2022. The hours that the vehicle will be available for in person inspection will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Inspections will be conducted at the West Goshen Township Municipal Complex at 1025 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380. The successful bidder will need to be approved at the June 7, 2022 regular public meeting of the West Goshen Township Board of Supervisors. Payment must be made within 10 days of awarding of the successful bid. The successful bidder shall be responsible for all title transfer costs.

Yes, the battery in the hybrid is near the end of it's life. The vehicle still runs, though.

Yes, the winning bid will be voted on at the June 7, 2022 meeting of the Board of Supervisors and would be available for pick-up on June 8, 2022. Yes, it is the original battery in the vehicle.

There is very minor rust, but it is just surface rust. We do not believe that it is anything beyond what would be normally expected.
