Selling a 2001 Sterling SC8000 Water Tanker/Flusher Truck. It has a Cummins 5.9L Diesel Engine. Only 36,020 miles. VIN 49HAAEBV61HJ24699
This truck has been on a regular rountine preventative maintenance schedule by our city's fleet department for it's entire life. Maintenance and repair history is available upon request.
It was used to flood ice rinks in City parks during the winter months and to water trees during the summer months with the side mounted water cannon (which can be controlled with the joystick in the cab). It was replaced with a new truck last year and is no longer being used. The truck starts right up and works great. It does have a decent amount of rust and a small air leak.
It was purchased from Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Co for $108,521 in Oct of 2000. It does have serious amounts of rust on the outer edge of the passenger floor (The driver's side floor was repaired in the past). The fuel tank is also quite rusty.
