1998 EMERGENCY-ONE 1500 GALLON AIRPORT APPARATUS

This vehicle is a 1998 E-One Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) apparatus located at Harrisburg Int'l Airport, Middletown, PA., USA. It holds 1500 gallon water, 450 gallons AFFF 3% foam and dry powder agent. The engine is a Detroit Diesel 8V92T V-8 Diesel and utilizes a 4500 series Allison Automative transmission. The engine will need reseal/overhaul due a believed internal coolant leak and very bad oil sludging throughout. All other components operated normally. Engine currently does not crank or start. Vehicle does have new oil and new batteries.Tires, fire pump,and power divider unit are all functional. The batteries are brand new. Tires are good also. It comes with all manuals, full mounted spare tire, and files. This apparatus also includes an on-board diesel powered 7.5kw electrical  generator mounted on roof in a protected box.

Guarantee Waiver:  All property is offered for sale "as-is, where-is." The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.  The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect, or consequential.

Description Warranty: The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. If SARAA agrees that the property does not conform to the description, SARAA will keep the property and refund any money paid.  The liability of the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.  Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Inspection:  Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable.  Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding.  Bidders must adhere to the inspection dates and times indicated in the item description or contact the person listed to schedule an inspection.

Consideration of Bid: The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale any of the items listed. Any Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) employee or direct family member are excluded from any sale of Authority property and are not permitted to submit bid. Any Bid received from any SARAA employee or direct family member will be rejected and void.

Partial Payment

There will be NO partial payments allowed for an auction. All auctions must be paid in full according to the specified payment process. For example, you WILL NOT be able to partially pay for an auction by Credit Card and pay the remainder by another payment method, such as a wire transfer. All credit card payments must be made using a single credit card.

Removal:  All items must be removed within 10 working days from the time and date of issuance of the Notice of Award or a ten-dollar [$10] per day storage fee will be added to the Bid price. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Bid will be forfeit with all money none refunded if Bidder fails to comply with the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) terms and conditions.  Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Notice of Award.  The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property.  Under no circumstances will the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping.  Property may be removed between the hours of 7:00am and 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.  For additional information, please contact Mr. Robert Gardner @ 717-948-3900 x3974 or bobg@saraa.org .

Vehicle Titles: The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) will issue a title transfer certificate (MV-1, form PA DOT) upon receipt of payment.  Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website.  Open titles cannot be issued. The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) will not issue replacement titles.

Default:  Default is defined as and shall include (1) failure to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all items within the specified time.  Default may result in termination of the contract and suspension from participation in all future sales until the default has been cured.  If the Buyer fails in the performance of their obligations, the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) may exercise such rights and may pursue such remedies as are provided by law.

Applicable law; Venue: Any contract resulting from this solicitation shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and any litigation with respect thereto shall be brought in the courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The buyer shall comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Indemnification: Bidder agrees for and on behalf of bidder, bidder's heirs, successors and assignees that bidder shall indemnify and hold the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) harmless from and against any claim, demand or cause of action arising or alleged to have arisen out of the sale or failure to sell any items or surplus property including claims for personal or bodily injury, death or contract damages.

State/Local Sales and/or Use Tax:  Purchaser is responsible for all taxes, title and transfer fees.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:  By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that they have read, fully understand and accept these Terms and Conditions of Online Sales, and agrees to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted, by the dates and times specified.
