2003 Ford Explorer / Former Police Vehicle

This 2003 Ford Explorer 4 X 4 Former Police SUV vehicle was used for daily patrol from new until the beginning of 2013.  From 2013 through 2020 it was used by the roadcrew and fire police as a traffic control vehicle.  The vehicle has push button on the dash 4 wheel drive and has a 4.0 V6 engine.  The vehicle has had routine maintenance and repairs as needed through the years.  No maintenance or repair records are available.  All emergency police equipment, radios and cage will be removed. The rear doors can not be open from the inside.  The Police and Fire Police lettering will be removed as much as possible.  Some adhesive material may remain.  Any wire and antenna holes will be plugged.  There are various nicks, scratches and marks in various locations in the paint of the vehicle.  The vehicle starts, runs, drives and stops.  The vehicle is currently not inspected.  The inspection expired 10/2020.  There has been less than 100 miles put on the vehicle since the last inspection.  The original rear seat is available and will be included with the sale.  Does have Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks and Air Conditioning.  

The Township mechanic indicates the valve cover gaskets leak.  The rear wiper blade needs to be replaced and there is rust at various locations on the vehicle - see pictures.  

Brakes:  LF 10/32, LR 4/32, RF 10/32, RR 5/32.  Tires: LF 5/32, LR 9/32, RF 3/32, RR 8/32.  

Mileage is 139609.

This vehicle is being sold As Is - Where Is.  Millcreek Township offers no express or implied warranty or guarantee and reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  Bids will be reviewed by the Board, February 10, 2021 at 7:15 PM.  

Payment to be made when the vehicle is picked up.  Title will be transferred at a local Notary Shop.  Title Transfer to be made Monday through Friday 8 AM - 3 PM.  Any costs for transfer of title shall be at the expense of the winning bidder.  Item to be paid for and picked up within 15 days of winning bid.  Due to the vehicle not being inspected, the vehicle should be towed from our property.
