Up for sale is a 1989 KME/LTI 75' aerial ladder truck. This truck was removed from service approximately 1 year ago due to compunding safety related issues to include hydraulic leaks, interlock faulures, several electronic failures, and corrosion. The onboard fire pump was also taken out of service by the testing company for internal corrosion and excessive wear. The onboard onan diesel generator engine has failed and not been used in 5+ years. The truck is currently stored indoors and was driven to its present location, however after sitting, it will now not start/run but does turn over. We would not consider this truck suitable for fire service operations without a significant $100-200k investment.
This truck has a detroit series 60 engine with allison transmission that has approximately 50k miles. It does not presently run however an initial assessment by our town mechanic is speculating a fuel delivery issue.
