Barn for Sale

Bidding for the barn to be disassembled and salvaged or reclaimed

Recycle bins not included and will be removed from barn before inspection

 

Successful bidder shall:

1. Install 4’ tall snow fence around the perimeter of the barn and post no trespassing signs on the fence at least every 100’.  Fence and signs must be maintained throughout the project and be removed upon completion of the project;
2. Provide an insurance certificate demonstrating general liability coverage in an amount not less than $1,000,000 and add the Township of Upper Providence as an additionally insured on their GL policy;
3. Be solely responsible for site safety, security, and for ensuring safe work practices.  Work shall only occur between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm;
4. Remove the wooden barn in entirety within 90 days of bid award;
5. Not be required to remove the concrete silo, stone foundation walls, concrete floor, or concrete and metal structures associated with the milking parlor in the lower level of the barn;
6. Post a cash escrow with Upper Providence Township in the amount of $10,000 to ensure that the barn is removed in its entirety.  Escrowed funds will be returned to the successful bidder upon completion of the project.  

 

Prospective bidders may tour the barn on September 14, 2021 from 10 AM - 2 PM.  Asbestos and lead paint inspection reports may be obtained by contacting Bryan Bortnichak via email at bbortnichak@uprov-montco.org
