The Borough of West Kittanning is accepting bids for the sale of a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT Edition 4D/4WD with Power Brakes, Steering, Windows, and Locks, Cloth Interior. This is a Police patrol vehicle, and is being sold in a "as-is" condition with 60,084 miles, and may increase because this unit is still in service. The engine in this truck was replaced with a brand new Ford (long block) engine on 7/10/17, and the mileage was 52,984. The emergency lighting, siren, lighting switch box, and police markings will be removed if not sold to a Law Enforcement Agency. The radio will be removed, regardless of who wins the bid.
