Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between bidder and The Borough of Rutherford.
Sold “AS IS - WHERE IS” condition without express or implied warranties. No adjustments, credits or refunds. All sales are final.
The Borough of Rutherford reserves the right to accept or reject any bids submitted.
Winning bidder has five (5) business days to pay for and have item removed from date of the notice of award or the Borough of Rutherford reserves the right to relist the vehicle or award it to the second highest bidder. Payment will only be accepted in person at time of removal, in the form of certified check or money order payable to the Borough of Rutherford. Refunds will not be given for the vehicle if not picked up by the deadline. Buyer has sole responsibility of picking up the vehicle. Delivery is not available. The Borough of Rutherford is not responsible for the vehicle once it has left the Borough’s property.
Title will be transferred at time of payment. Buyer is responsible for paying all fees and taxes associated with vehicle title transfer and licensing. Title and payment transactions are conducted at the Clerk’s office located at 176 Park Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070.
Buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle prior to submitting a bid. Appointments for inspection must be scheduled in advance and must be between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. No appointments will be made during the weekend.
