For sale As Is:
1998 Freighliner MT45 Step Van. Originally a gas utility truck, then used as a fire department rescue vehicle since 2005. Cummins Diesel 6 cyl. 5.9, automatic transmission. Interior Box length is 11'6". Currently has some built in wood shelving that would be easy to remove.
The vehicle does run but needs new batteries and has a leak in the coolant system.
I have added a photograph of the two batteries wired parallel. I was unable to jumpstart the truck. The batteries need to be replaced by the successful bidder to start the vehicle so I have changed the anser to "will it start". It did start and drive at least 3 times this past winter because we moved it to allow for snowplows to clear the lot.. I do not know the issue with the coolant system. The last two times the vehicle was used for an incident (approximately fall 2020) the temperature gauge was climbing. A mechanic did replace a hose that was found to be cracked but I do not know if that fully resolved the issue. I can not make any guarantees on the vehicle which is why it is being sold "AS IS". I am amending some of the details to reflect that it cannot be started/driven off the lot (until at least batteries are changed). I did find the title. The mileage on the title and the current mileage do not line up so I am changing the mileage to reflect that it is uncertain.
