Specifications for Reinforced Cement Concrete Box Culvert
Inside Dimensions: 12’-0” wide by 4’-0” high by 7’-6” laying length, 8 units
Wall Thickness: 1’- 0”
Cement Concrete: f’c = 5,000 psi at 28 days, with ASTM C-33 No. 57 or No. 67 coarse aggregate
Reinforcement: Steel Bar, ASTM A-615, Grade 60, Welded Wire Fabric ASTM A-185, deformed welded wire fabric of equal size may be substitute for smooth welded wire fabric and shall conform to ASTM A-497. Reinforcement clearance shall be two (2) inches.
Threaded Inserts: shall be electro plate galvanized, F-57
Lift Anchors
Section Design: ASTM C-1433-07 for precast reinforced box section, Table 1 with six (6) feet of earth fill and no live load.
Chamfer: All exposed edges shall be chamfered one (1) inch by one (1) inch.
