1984 AM General M923 with an Elliott 1800CP crane

The Town of Wellesley DPW is accepting bids to purchase a 1984 AM General M923 with an Elliott 1800CP crane with a 6 cylinder Cummins motor. Has been well maintained and has had crane inspections performed annually. Failed last annual crane inspection in March for the load sensor not functioning and some hydraulic hoses leaking. Full inspection report avaialble by request.  Inspection of the vehicle can be done in person by scheduling an appointment with the Wellesley DPW Highway Division during the bidding period between the hours of 7 am to 3 pm (M-F) by calling (781) 489-7720.  The listing will be live beginning Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 7 am and will be available until the auction end time.  Bidding closes on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 7 am. Upon winning the auction, the winning bidder must submit a signed non-collusion form to the jurisdiction prior to the receipt of the surplus property as required by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B, Section 10. This vehicle is being sold "as-is, where-is" and no warranty is given or implied. Minimum bid is $2,500. Acceptable forms of payment are certified Bank Check or Money Order payable to the Town of Wellesley. The Town of Wellesley reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities. Removal is required by 3:00 pm November 9, 2022.
