Kemah Fire Department, as seller, disclaims any warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.  The vehicle is being sold on an "As is, where is" basis. Decals of the department's patch and any "Kemah Fire" lettering will be removed before the vehicle's final sale; all other stripings will be left in place. The department decals will be removed in-house (cost absorbed by the department) with as much care as possible.

Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between Buyer and Seller. Payment in full is due at the time of pickup, no later than fourteen (14) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of award, or the Kemah Fire Department reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder.  The successful bidder shall make payment to Kemah Fire Department in the form of cash or certified check made payable to Kemah Fire Department, 905 State Highway 146, Kemah, TX 77565. The successful bidder shall remove the vehicle within fourteen (14) days following the Notice of award.  No refunds will be given if the buyer does not remove the vehicle from the premises.  The department reserves the right to accept or reject any bids received. The buyer has sole responsibility for picking up the vehicle.  Delivery is not available.  The Kemah Fire Department is not responsible for the vehicle once it has left the Department property.

Vehicle may be picked up at Kemah Fire Department Station #1, located at 905 State Highway 146, Kemah, Texas 77565.

The 2006 Ford F-150 2WD has 68,191 miles, and the condition of the vehicle includes but is not limited to:

• dents on the front and rear bumpers – see included pictures
• NO emergency equipment remains on this unit, stripped before the auction by an Emergency Vehicle Technician
• misfire is present – likely tune-up and replacement of spark plugs and harnesses will be required to fix this issue
• rear half doors do not function properly
• holes in the roof – see included pictures – from where the light bar was installed
• AC was known to have worked when last in service; however,  only intermittently and will at least need a charge of refrigerant
• hood paint is faded
• the interior has wear and tear
• Engine Hours are NOT available
• no known significant accidents for the unit's life; Car-Facts shows no accidents 
• front end alignment needed
• The unit runs but may need a jump start or a new battery if driven off the lot - last driven in August

Additional Information: This unit started as a Squad unit in 2006 and, around 2015, was utilized by the Fire Marshal's Office for building inspections until 2019. The unit continued to have work tickets resolved as they became known, though since later 2019, the unit was only started periodically over the past 3 years.

Before the vehicle can be picked up, you must bring or mail a certified check or cashier's check to the Kemah Fire Station #1 between 08:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Buyers purchasing the vehicle may only take possession once the department's bank has verified payment.

THIS VEHICLE'S TITLE SHOWS AS THE GALVESTON COUNTY WATER CONTROL AND IMPROVEMENT DIST #12, WITH THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS OF THE KEMAH FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION 1; THE KEMAH FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES IT'S FUNDING THROUGH THE GCWCID #12 AND HAS ALL REQUIRED AUTHORIZATION(S) TO AUCTION/SELL THIS VEHICLE.
