The City of Taneytown, as seller, disclaims any warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability of fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. The item is being sold on an “As is, where is” basis. Bidders must be 18 years old. Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between Buyer and Seller. Payment in full is due no later than ten (10) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of award or the City of Taneytown reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder. The successful bidder shall make payment to “The City of Taneytown” in the form of cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or money order, made payable to The City of Taneytown, 17 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. Refunds will not be given for items that are not picked up by the deadline. The City reserves the right to reject any bids received and to award to the vendor of choice. Buyer has sole responsibility of picking up the item. Delivery is not available. The City is not responsible for the item once it has left City property.
