Excellent condition 2017 Ford Explore Police Interceptor 4WD
Total Engine Hours 10904
Total Engine Idle Hours 5805
Mileage 134017
This vehicle was purchased new and used as a patrol unit until it was taken out of service in April 2023. When it was decommissioned, it was cleaned, had the exhaust replaced from the cat back and a got a new PA inspection and emissions (3/24). This patrol unit was assigned and shared by two officers (we find that assigned cars are cared for better than motor pool patrol units). Patrol is generally all residential with almost no highway high speed driving. The tires are in good condition. There is no visible rust and no known mechanical issues. The underside of this vehicle is almost rust free (see photos). There are no dash lights on. AC blows ice cold. Comes with Weather Tech Floor liners and a Setina bumper/push bar. If the winning bidder is a law enforcement agency and will use the vehicle for law enforcement purposes we will include at no extra cost the rear partition, the center console, Wheelen LED light bar, a Code 3 light/siren control box and a computer stand. Law enforcement agency will be required to provide a letter on agency letterhead stating the vehicle will be used for law enforcement purposes and signed by the agency’s Chief or Sheriff. If the winning bidder is a civilian all the police equipment will be removed prior to pick up.
While in-service the vehicle was extremely well maintained. Almost all service was done in-house by the Borough’s mechanics. Service records are included in the listing. The following items are the only known issues and are all cosmetic and common to used police vehicles. The front edge of the hood is starting to have the paint blister (see photo). The driver's seat has wear (see photo) If the police equipment is removed the roof will have a hole that was for the overhead emergency lights (it will be well sealed when the light bar is removed). If the partition is removed the headliner will have a couple of holes and wear marks from the partition installation. The spotlight is not working. There are minor scratches and scuffs but no major damage. Overall, this is a very nice SUV with lots of patrol miles to give or a great safe car for your kids.
Vehicle is located at the Franklin Park Borough Police Department which is just north of Pittsburgh PA close to Interstate 79 and the PA Turnpike (76).
