Vehicle had a brand-new OEM computer installed by a Ford dealer a few months ago. Vehicle was used by the Police Chief before becoming a support vehicle. New wiring was also installed under the floor pan. Check engine light is currently on. Per our mechanic it could be due to the vehicle not being driven for at least 50 miles after the new wiring was installed. Shifter cable keeps coming loose for some reason. We had it repaired once, and it did it again. It has something to do with the plastic part holding it in. This is causing the transmission not to go into gear which activates a safety sensor that may cause the vehicle not to start. The vehicle runs find when the shifter cable is not loose.
