This is a reposting of an auction for 8 Pallets of Radiation Detection Set. NOTE: Important additional information that was not previously published online is being made available through this auction.   Please note the following additional information:

Additional Information.  

- Each box is roughly 14" long x 10" wide x 7 1/4" high

-The average box weight is roughly 25 lbs  

-517 boxes generally contain 2 - 3 survey meters per box

- Meter models include: CDV 700, CDV 715.  Others may be present.

- Past service records/replacement part information is not available

- Some units were last calibrated/used within the past 25 years

-Typically, boxes with 2 meters also contain a dosimeter charger & six self-reading dosimeters.  Some contain associated/original paperwork

-5 boxes contain extra dosimeter chargers

Quality

- ALL ITEMS ARE USED.  A small percentage of items are nearly pristine, an equal amount are only good for parts.

- Meters do not contain and should not be stored with batteries in them.  

Pickup logistics.  

- A high/low is available to load pallets onto a truck/trailer.  Movement within the truck is the buyer’s/shippers responsibility.

- Pallets can be spotted next to smaller vehicles.  All hand-stacking is the responsibility of the buyer/shipper.

- Preparation of shipping papers/bill of lading is the buyer’s/shippers responsibility.

- Vehicles/individuals must be appropriately licensed/insured to comply with applicable NJ and USDOT regulations.

It is the buyer's responsibility to ask any and all questions prior to purchasing. Property must be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Pickup hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 am or 3:00 pm.   The loading of material will be the responsibility of the winner of the auction. 

Removal Instructions: The asset must be removed within 10 working days of close of auction. Any asset paid for but not picked up within 10 working days will be subject to a $40 storage fee per calendar day or forfeiture. The removal is the responsibility of the winning bidder.

Special Instructions: Being offered for sale "AS IS - WHERE IS". No guarantees or warranties. Assets may contain defects not readily apparent by visual inspection. The State of New Jersey Surplus Property Unit is part of a state agency that sells used property for other state agencies across the State of New Jersey. We normally get very little to no information on most items we sell and it is the bidders’ responsibility to inspect and determine the overall condition of the items they wish to purchase. Also, please note that the picture(s) are only part of the description and cannot be relied upon to determine overall condition or quantities. Physical inspection of the property is highly encouraged and recommended. There may be missing items/parts that were removed before turning the item into the surplus property unit.
