We are selling a 2007 Ford XL Super Duty F-550. The vehicle currently has 72,922 miles on it. The engine is a power stroke V8, auto transmission, 4x4. It comes with a Western Pro Plus snow plow and a Smith spreader. All function are currently operational. The steel body is very rusted with some holes. It is currently inspected through April of 2024. This vehicle is being sold "as, is". No warranties are implied or given. This vehicle is still in use, so mileage may change slightly. We reserve the right to reject any bids.
Q: Bidding from Pittsburgh PA, and I am unable to inspect ahead of purchasing. Are there any known mechanical issues?
A: To my knowledge no, but I am not positive. This vehicle was last inspected in March of 2023. The spinner on the tailgate spreader has a minor hydraulic leak. We recently had rear brake work done. During yesterday's storm, i used it for a few hours, with no issues.
Q: Does the truck have a built-in brake controller for a trailer?
A: Yes, It has gain/ outputs on the dash. I'm not sure if this control works, as we never needed this function.
Q: How bad is rust on frame under cab and under body
A: It appears to be just surface rust under the body and the cab.
