Q: Hey there, just wondering if there is and hazards I should be worried about. I know these deal with gasses. Has it all been drained? Just let me know. Thank you.
A: It hasn't been used or connected to any gas source for many years. It's not a sealed system like a GC-MS, so no need to drain. The autosampler uses a syringe (and I can provide the extras we had), so in a sense that is a hazard. The samples I used to inject were extracted in methylene chloride, which is also hazardous but evaporates very quickly. But no current chemicals or compressed gasses in the system.
