Q: Is the property habitable? Is the property recommended for demolition?
A: Hello, the Authority’s definition of habitable is move in condition which this property is not. Demolition was not recommended given the furnace and ductwork are less than 3 – years old. The Authority acquires properties from many different sources that have fallen into disrepair. Some of the properties are renovated, some are sold, and some are not feasible for the Authority to renovate based upon several determining factors. The reserve price is set at the level it is based upon the renovations required to make the property habitable while also ensuring the purchase is a reasonable investment for a buyer. We would be glad to show you the property by appointment. Thank you for your question.
