Q: Why cant it be driven off the lot with a registered dealer plate?
A: I don't know how that works. All I know is that it is no longer registered by the town so it cannot be driven on the road. That's the only reason it cannot be driven off the lot. If a dealer plate allows you drive it, then it can be driven
Q: Do you have a clean title - no lien on title? Last pump test & results, please.
A: Clean title in hand. No leins on title, it is owned outright by the Town of New Boston. Last pump test was 2024 and it failed. Recommendation by pump service company was a rebuild due to damage to the mechanicals in the pump.
Q: Why does it not pass pump testing? What repairs needed? Any other problems?
A: It does not pump to its capacity. WD Perkins tore it down and it requires an overhaul to make it meet standard. It still pumps, just not to capacity. There were some damaged ring gears and other areas of concern
Q: Why isn’t it drivable off the lot if it starts whats preventing it driving?
A: It is no longer registered for the road. It drives and operates fine and can be driven around the yard but cannot be driven on the road.
