You are bidding on a 1988 Mack RD690S cab and chassis. The water tank and work boxes are not included in the sale and will be removed prior to pick up by the successful bidder. This truck runs and drives, was in service for the Wendell Fire Department as a water tender until this week, and was bought new by the town. The mileage upon writing the listing is 5,415 (original). This truck has been garaged its entire life with regular periodic maintenance and washings.

Q: Who is responsible to remove the tank tank.
A: If the town elects to use the tank as a static water source, it will be removed prior to the truck being picked up by the winning bidder. We will communicate with the winning bidder regarding next steps
Q: Is the odometer guage original ? looks like a screw head over the 0 to 10 mph ???
A: The odometer gauge is original. The truck saw service only as a tanker and has the "Wendell Fire Department" sticker from Mack on the glove box. These trucks do not get a lot of miles on them.
Q: the water tank and tool boxes will be removed ( by winning bidder ) that means what you need a shop to remove the tank good thing i read honestly was thinking the truck as is in picture you strip it down it look very different
