Doron Precision Systems Fire Truck Driving Simulator - Originally Purchased in 2012 for $202,000
Q: Curious how was that unit transported to your location? it appears to be to big to fit in a semi, does it dis-assemble some how - if so how many pieces? Is there a reserve price, and how much does it weight?
A: Will attempt to determine the weight, but there are no guarantees on that. I will get with the folks who may have been here when it was moved into its' current location to answer the transport question. The Chief of Training who originally purchased it back in August of 2012 is now deceased, so hopefully some of the other leaders that are still here from back then can answer these questions. I will get with my Division Chief tomorrow and try to come up with some answers for you. 01/20/26: According to my division chief, the simulator was delivered in sections and was assembled in the room it has been in for the last several years.
Q: What is the full model number, and original contract / serial number?
A: I will get you that information tormorrow. 01/20/26: Doron Precision Systems, Inc. 660 Fire Truck Cab P/N 6013070-24 S/N 660-FTC-02
Q: How much does it weigh & do you have all of the lnstructions & manuls
A: I have no clue on its' weight. It does have to be disassembled into different sections. I have to look further for the manuals.
Q: overall dimensions height lenght width
A: Length 74” Width 97” Height 87”
Q: Does it operate 100% as it was designed to
A: Yes, it did at the last use which was approx.. 10-12 months ago. 01/20/26: I powered up the simulator this morning and it appears that everything is working as it should. I have attached a couple pictures of the screens.
