Q: Does everything work as it should? Has this ever been used for plowing or salting operations?
A: The truck needs new brakes and will not pass inspection due to emissions issues. Everything else worked when it was parked. Truck was not used to plow or spread salt.
Q: Is this truck reliable? Do you feel it would make a 4 hour drive home?
A: The truck was last used in late 2025 daily to haul and pull a 10,000 pound trailer, it was reliable at that time.
Q: i understand, i was just wondering if someone could just start it up and take a listen to see if its loud from the manifolds, its common on 6.0L

Q: thank you, last question. is there any exhaust manifold leaks? the ticking noise
A: At this time, we are unable to confirm whether there is an exhaust manifold leak. The operations manager responded to your question by stating that the cause of the issue is unknown.
Q: What is the brake issue? What is the emission issue and are there any exhaust manifold leaks?
A: The Brakes are all worn out and need replaced. All we know about the emissions is that it fails emissions tests and it triggers a check engine light.

Q: Were the brakes and emissions issue taken care of? Or do they still need to be done?
A: Repairs were not made and the brake and emissions issues still need addressed. The truck was going to be replaced, so the repairs were not completed before it was taken out of service.
Q: I see it has a hitch but don’t see the plug for trailer wiring does it have one
A: Yes.
Q: The truck is driven
A: The truck was still operable but has not been driven in the past few weeks since it was replaced with a new unit. It was taken out of service due to emissions issues, needed brake replacement, general wear and tear, and the opportunity to upgrade.
Q: Good morning. Why was the truck taken off the road? Pictures of the frame please. PTO hoist or electric over hydraulic?
A: The truck is equipped with an electric-over-hydraulic hoist. The yellow check engine light was related to emissions. The truck was removed from service due to emissions issue, needed brake replacement and general wear and tear. We had the opportunity to upgrade our fleet but only require one dump truck.
Q: Undercarriage photos with dump bed up would be helpful…thank you.
A: Additional photos of the undercarriage have been uploaded.
