2017 Ford Interceptor Utility AWD 107,412 Miles, Vin: 1FM5K8AR2HGC35039. The vehicle has damage to the driver's side doors from a deer strike (refer to attached pictures). Doors open and close; the vehicle was kept in service as a marked patrol car.
Lightbar, cage, and console, as seen in the photos, will be sold with the vehicle.
Q: Can you verify with the chief or a senior police officer in the local Police Department that if a civilian purchases this vehicle that they are permitted to drive the vehicle with the spotlight attached to the vehicle as long as it is not used? I want to verify that it is legal to have the spotlight on the vehicle for daily driving as long as it is not used.
A: The spotlight would need to be removed or covered It’s considered auxiliary lighting
