Middletown Township 2018 580 SN Backhoe for Sale
Middletown Township is offering their 2018 580 SN Backhoe with only 1,745 original hours, for sale to the highest bidder. This well-maintained backhoe features a front clam bucket and an Extenda-hoe rear with clam bucket, along with air conditioning for operator comfort. It has always been garage kept, ensuring excellent condition. There is some minor rust at the hood hinges. Please note, this vehicle is being sold AS-IS.
The backhoe is available for inspection by appointment only Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 2 pm. The Township garage is conveniently located on Rt. 452, between Rt. 352 and Rt. 1. For more information or to schedule an inspection, please email publicworks@middletowndelcopa.gov.
The high bid will be accepted only if it meets the reserve price for the equipment. The successful high bidder will be contacted promptly upon completion of the bidding process.

Q: What was the main use of the machine and was this backhoe ever used to load road salt, salt/sand mixture, or other deicing material? If yes, approximately how often was it used for that purpose, and was the machine washed/rinsed after salt use? Has there been any corrosion-related repair to the frame, loader arms, hydraulic lines, electrical components, cab mounts, or front axle? Thank you.
A: This machine was used for general purpose road work, for a municipality. This machine did load road salt in the winter months, whenever there was a weather event. The machine was cleaned after each storm. We have not noticed any frame corrosion, there is minor rust near the hood hinges and some of the fittings may have rust on them.
Q: Does the front 4in1 bucket have dedicated hydraulics only, or front auxiliary couplers as well? Does the rear attachment use dedicated clamshell plumbing or does the machine have rear auxiliary hydraulics for other attachments? Are there rear quick couplers for a hammer/thumb/auger? are the controls pilot controls or mechanical levers? Does it have ride control? Is the machine 4-wheel drive, looks like it in photo but just checking? Thank you! Tom
A: This backhoe has dedicated hydraulics only for the features on the backhoe, there are no couplers on the front or rear of the unit. The controls are pilot controls. the machine has ride control and it is 4WD

A: Yes, this backhoe is equipped with ride control
Q: Will this until run and work as it should
A: The backhoe runs as it should. We recently used it to remove blacktop patches, downed trees. It is now out of duty for the sale.
