Offered for sale is a 2014 International 7400 10-ton dump truck. This vehicle has been a reliable workhorse for our Public Works Department for several years. It has 46,593 original miles. It has a 6-speed Allison Automatic transmission, a MaxxForce DT 530 engine, and is set up with a barn door tailgate, front plow hitch, and is fully plumbed for a tailgate spreader.
A coolant leak was discovered on 8/18 and the yellow warning light is currently illuminated on the instrument panel indicating this. There have been intermittent issues with the starter that sometimes require a manual tap to engage. The tires are beginning to show signs of some splitting and cracking. The truck is clean and has been maintained regularly. It has been replaced per the Township’s capital improvement plan for vehicle replacement.
The coolent leak has been repaired
Q: May I ask what the coolant problem was that was fixed? Thanks in advance
A: We took it to MD Hitch for repair. The invoice states "Coolant pipe from engine to engine oil coller heavily rusted and leaking. Drained coolant and replaced pipe, refilled collant."
Q: Are you able to upload pictures of the build sheet from when the truck was purchased?
A: I do not have this
Q: Just to confirm the Reserve on this item is $45,000 and does not include the plow and salt spreader? If so, are you willing to lower the Reserve?
A: Thats correct. the reserve was set on a motion at a meeting. if it doesnt sell then it will go back to another Board meeting for review.
Q: Is the truck currently inspected?
A: Yes until December 31, 2026
Q: Can you please add detailed pictures of the interior, tires and frame?
A: The truck is in the shop for the coolent leak but when it comes back i will try and get more pictures
Q: Can you please let us know the reserve price?
A: it is double the starting bid
Q: Is the plow and salt spreader included with the sale?
A: No its not
Q: Will the coolant leak be repaired by the Township prior to the completion of the sale?
A: Yes its currently at the shop being worked on now.
