The Town of Millville, Massachusetts is offering for sale an approximately 34-year-old Katolight Power Package standby emergency generator, together with its associated external fuel tank. The equipment formerly served Millville Elementary School in Millville, Massachusetts.
Generator Specifications
External Fuel Tank
An approximately 500-gallon external above-ground fuel tank associated with the generator is included with the sale.
Condition
The generator is currently out of service due to a reported failure of the alternator windings within the generator end.
The generator has been serviced semi-annually by FM Generator.
The generator and external fuel tank are being offered for sale in their current condition. The Town makes no representation regarding the current operability of the generator, the condition or capacity of the fuel tank, or the cost of repair or refurbishment.
Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the equipment prior to bidding and to make their own determination regarding its condition, value, repair requirements, removal requirements, and suitability for their intended use.

Removal / Pickup
The successful bidder is responsible for all costs and arrangements associated with the dismantling, removal, loading, transportation, and relocation or disposal of the generator and external fuel tank.
The Town will not be responsible for dismantling, loading, transportation, or delivery.
The successful bidder must coordinate removal with the Town and/or school district in advance and comply with all applicable requirements for safe removal and transportation of the equipment.
The generator and fuel tank must be completely removed from the property by September 30, 2026.
