**AMED Vehicle Auction Terms and Conditions**
**Condition and Inspection**
The vehicle is sold **“AS IS, WHERE IS,” WITH ALL FAULTS.** To the fullest extent permitted by law, AMED disclaims all express or implied warranties concerning the vehicle’s condition, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, mechanical operation, or roadworthiness.
Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the vehicle before bidding and are responsible for determining whether it meets their needs. Photographs, descriptions, and maintenance information do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of future performance. AMED will not perform repairs or provide a warranty after the sale. All sales are final, except as otherwise required by law.
**Bidder Eligibility and Acceptance**
Bidders must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. Anyone bidding on behalf of another person or organization must have authority to do so.
Bidding constitutes an offer to purchase under these terms and Municibid’s applicable terms. The sale is subject to AMED’s acceptance of the winning bid and completion of the required sale documents. AMED reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel or withdraw the auction before final acceptance, subject to applicable law and Municibid’s rules.
**Payment**
Payment in full must be received by AMED within seven (7) calendar days after the auction closes, unless AMED’s acceptance remains pending. If acceptance is delayed, payment is due within seven (7) calendar days after AMED notifies the successful bidder of acceptance.
Accepted payment methods are cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or money order. Checks and money orders must be payable to **AMED**. Payment shall be delivered to:
AMED
106 Reimer Street
Altoona, PA 16602
Personal checks and credit cards are not accepted for payment to AMED. The vehicle and title will not be released until payment has been verified and funds have cleared.
The buyer is responsible for Municibid’s buyer’s fee, payable separately to Municibid, and all applicable taxes, title, registration, notary, and transfer fees. Municibid’s buyer’s fee must be paid before the vehicle is released.
**Title Transfer and Transportation**
The buyer must coordinate with AMED to complete the required title-transfer documents before taking possession. AMED’s registration plate is not included in the sale.
The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for pickup, towing, loading, transportation, insurance, and any permits or registration needed for removal. AMED does not guarantee that the vehicle can be legally or safely driven from the pickup location. If it cannot, the buyer must arrange appropriate towing or transport.
**Pickup Deadline**
The vehicle must be removed within seven (7) calendar days after AMED receives payment. Pickup is by appointment only. The buyer or an authorized representative must present valid identification and any required purchase and transfer documentation.
Any extension of the payment or pickup deadline must be approved by AMED in writing before the deadline expires.
**Failure to Pay or Remove the Vehicle**
If the buyer fails to pay within the required period, AMED may cancel the award, relist the vehicle, or offer it to the next highest bidder through Municibid’s procedures.
Failure to remove the vehicle by the pickup deadline constitutes a default. No refund will be issued solely because the buyer fails to pick up the vehicle. AMED may pursue remedies available under the sale agreement and applicable law. Municibid may separately impose penalties under its terms.
