We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment, to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Milan Township came together in 1857, carved out of parts of Malta and Shabbona townships, making it one of the youngest townships in DeKalb County, Illinois. It's a small, rural community by design and by history, with no village or town inside its borders, just open land and neighbors who know each other. Today, about 309 residents call it home, a number that's held steady over the years.
The township board oversees the everyday work of keeping Milan running, including upkeep of roughly 24.5 miles of township roads and the grounds at Edison Park. Township business is handled out of Milan Township Hall at 1518 St. Rt. 113E, the hub for local government here. It's a modest operation for a modest-sized place, built on the same practical footing it started with back in 1857.
