Q: Will the winning bidder have to get a title from the state of Connecticut before transferring it over to another state? Or is the accompanied paperwork sufficient for all states?
A: I am unsure what previous winners of our vehicles have done. We have sold vehicles to the tri-state area (NY, NJ and MA) and the DMV seems to be okay with accepting the paperwork. One case in New Jersey for one town they had to get the title here in CT but then transfer to NJ
Q: How often has the transmission fluid been replaced? Do you have records of work done to the vehicle?
A: Dec 2025 Air filter Complete fuel system treatment Wipers replaced Oil change Radiator fluid replaced New tire last year. The front axles have been replaced New battery. I think we had the brakes done also last year. Nissan fixed a recall about 6 month after we got the van. The trans fluid has not be replaced.
Q: Can you shed more light on the titling component of this please? Description says comes with paperwork needed to title, but list says transferable title “no.”
A: This vehicle does not come with a title. We are a municipality and within the state of CT we are not required to register our vehicles with DMV. We have the certificate of origin on the vehicle which will be provided along with a bill of sale and a CT Q-1 form (Supplemental assignment of ownership) which is all you will need to obtain a title for the vehicle.
Q: How much was it sold for the first time, are there any mechanical issues that you know of. thanks
A: 9k was the winning bid on the original auction. No known mechanical issues with the vehicle
Q: Why is it being listed again?
A: Original buyer never contacted for pick up of vehicle for over a month after previous auction ended.
