Needless to say, we are thrilled with the results! With the amount of exposure and truly competitive bidding through Municibid, I have to say it wasn’t much of a surprise that we did so well. The best part about it is that we get to keep 100% of the proceeds.

We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Mashpee, a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, traces its roots to 1717, with origins tied to an earlier settlement of the Mashpee Wampanoag people and colonial-era town organization. It was formally incorporated as a town in 1870. Today, Mashpee is home to 15,482 residents, according to the Census, and sits on Cape Cod, with a mix of commercial areas, residential neighborhoods, and coastal and inland natural areas.

The town is governed through an open town meeting, with a select board and town manager operating under a town charter. Municipal departments include police, fire and rescue, and public works, serving residents and the broader Mashpee community day to day.
