We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

About Town of Dunstable

Dunstable at a glance
  • Population3,500
  • Founded1,673
  • GovernmentOpen town meeting
  • Land area16.5 sq mi

Dunstable, Massachusetts, was incorporated on October 15, 1673, following a petition from 26 proprietors who held land along the Merrimack River. The town took its name from Dunstable in Bedfordshire, England, in honor of Mrs. Edward Tyng. At its founding, Dunstable covered roughly 200 square miles, a span later reduced through separations to today's footprint of under 17 square miles.

Today, Dunstable is home to about 3,500 residents in Middlesex County and continues to govern itself through open town meeting, a tradition that keeps decisions close to the people who call it home. Municipal offices are located at 511 Main Street, serving as the town's civic center for the residents and officials who carry its long history forward.
