We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Sherman Township sits in Harrison County, Missouri, its start tracing back to a spring day in 1869 when neighbors gathered at Cyrus Dunbar's residence to hold a township meeting and elect the first officers. That count of 192 residents today isn't far off from where things began; the 1870 census put the population at 134. A schoolhouse once stood at Sherman City, part of the small but steady community life that's marked the township for over 150 years.
Sherman Township is governed by a township board, a form of local government built for the day-to-day needs of a small population. The Missouri State Treasurer lists Sherman Township among the state's ineligible minor civil divisions, meaning it doesn't provide the wide range of government services that some larger townships do. Even so, the township carries forward the same quiet, community-minded spirit that brought folks together at Cyrus Dunbar's place back in 1869.
