We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment, to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Lake Township sits in Aurora County, South Dakota, one of the small governing units that keep local matters close to home. With a population of 54, according to the Census, it's a place where the township board handles the community's business directly, without a lot of layers in between. No specific founding date for the township turned up in available records, but its presence in county and state materials speaks to a long, steady thread of local governance.
Election materials from the state list Lake Township's precinct as tied to the County Extension Complex, a detail that gives residents a practical anchor point come voting season. No official township website or Aurora County directory listing was found, which isn't unusual for a township this size. What Lake Township lacks in web presence, it makes up for in the straightforward, board-run structure that has long served its residents.
